Sam Riddle was born in Missoula, MT.  His father was fresh off of a decade on the road touring as an original member of the legendary Mission Mountain Wood Band.  Sam was exposed to a wide variety of music and culture.  His uncle was an accomplished musician and composer and started teaching Sam the piano at the age of 2.  Sports quickly took over Sam’s youth, but he continued to use music as his outlet.  The majestic country that is Montana served as Sam’s playground and inspiration in everything that he did.  From the Mission Mountains to the plains of eastern Montana on the family farm, it was a magical place to grow up with music seeping out of everything to serve as a soundtrack to his life.  In high school, Riddle became a legendary basketball player in the state of Montana and accepted a full ride scholarship to play Division 1 at The University of Montana.  While pursuing a professional basketball career, it was a trip to visit his best friend that changed the course of his life.  Riddle sat at a piano in a bar one night on a dare from his friend.  What was supposed to be one song turned into an hour of entertaining the late night crowd.  The manager of the bar immediately came over and offered Sam a gig.  Realizing he was on to something, Riddle rolled the dice and drove to Las Vegas.  After a week of walking around the strip and handing out demos, Sam landed an audition at the Las Vegas Hilton.  Riddle nailed it and started playing six nights a week.  From there Sam went on to play in almost every major hotel on the strip in piano bars and upscale lounges 7 nights a week for 4 years straight taking requests and often playing till 3 or 4 in the morning.  Sam decided it was time to take his music career to the next level and let the world see who he really is.  When a chance came to record his own music, he jumped at the opportunity.  Sam took a couple weeks to write and record songs for his self-produced album, “Chip Off the Ol’ Block.”  This album is an introduction for Riddle to the world of country music as this talented young singer/songwriter sheds light on everything from growing up in the country, floatin’ the river, fallin’ in love, and even rollin’ in the hay.

“Country music is about tellin’ stories, and I got millions of em.’”  -Sam Riddle

Riddle is now revered as a local prodigy in Las Vegas and can be seen headlining all over the entertainment capital of the world.  Sam’s energy and showmanship are second to none.  Along with his sultry voice and amazing piano playing, Riddle’s live show is quickly becoming the talk of the town.  With his career skyrocketing, Riddle’s heart is still on Flathead lake in Western Montana, and his soul is on that piece of land outside Bainville, Montana that has only been owned by his family and God.  Look for big things from Sam in the coming year as he takes the world of country music by storm.
